Arts Program
At Boca Lyons, the arts are at the heart of everything we do. Children benefit massively from exposure to the arts, and by encouraging them at an early age we can help to build their confidence, instill dedication, and create a passion for creativity.
Children’s minds are shaped by everything they do and it’s important to provide a solid foundation for them at such a young age. Attending Boca Lyons School of the Arts gives your child the opportunity to experience a variety of creative outlets, including dance, art, music, and drama. Our specialist teachers create lessons that engage children, focusing on participation and movement.
Dance
Our dance studio allows for numerous dance styles, including ballet, hip-hop, and jazz. Classes are designed by specialist teachers to be accessible to even our youngest children and dance is promoted as a source of exercise and an opportunity to put all of their energy into their performance.
Art Studio
The art studio is where we keep all our art and crafting supplies, making it easy for a creative lesson to get started. From paint to clay and everything in between, the children are free to be creative (and get messy!) in this space. We encourage self-expression and whilst some classes are guided, we recognise that children should never be limited in their imagination.
Music
Music classes often focus on singing, piano, and guitar. These instruments are some of the easier options for children to pick up, but the music room is filled with instruments for children to try out and our music teacher is there to support the children in their musical adventures.
Drama
Confidence to perform doesn’t come naturally to everybody, so we promote a feeling of inclusivity amongst the children. Our costume rack lets them dress up and often encourages the less confident children to take part in theater lessons. The main hall is used to put on shows for the children, as well as to get them involved in performing for others.
